Privacy Policy

ARND ("ARND", "we", "us") operates a map-first marketplace for live, local music. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. We've written it to be read, not skimmed past, if anything is unclear, email allen@mooque.xyz.

The short version: ARND is built local-first. Your saved shows, follows and saved shows live on your device. We use your location to show you nearby music; browsing sends nothing to our servers, and the one location we store is the point where you check in at a show, which is what makes verified attendance real. You can export or permanently delete everything from inside the app at any time.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details: if you create an account, your email, display name, and password. Performers may additionally add a bio, performance area, genre, social links, and payment handles (e.g. CashApp, Venmo, PayPal) to receive tips.
Content you create: shows you list, reviews you write, and check-ins you make.
Website forms: if you apply as a musician, join as a fan, join the waitlist, or send us feedback on arnd.app, we store what you submit (name, email, and the optional fields you fill in, such as a reserved handle, phone, Instagram, where we met, or your message) so we can review it and reach you. These live in our own database, are never sold, and you can ask us to delete them at any time at allen@mooque.xyz.

Information collected automatically

Location: with your permission, your device location is used to center the map and surface performances near you. Browsing is processed on your device and not stored on our servers. The exception is checking in at a show: the reported check-in point is stored with your account, because proximity is what makes the verified attendance badge honest. You can deny or revoke location permission at any time in your device settings; the app still works using a default city, and you can check in without location (the check-in is simply recorded as unverified).
On-device app data: your saved shows, followed artists, check-ins, reviews, and preferences are stored locally on your device.

Information we do not collect

We do not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs that track you across other apps and websites.
We do not sell your personal information.

2. How we use information

To show you live music near you and power discovery (feed, map, search).
To operate your account, profile, follows, check-ins, and reviews.
To enable tips, ticketing, and bookings between fans, artists, and venues.
To keep ARND secure, prevent abuse, and provide support.

3. Payments

Today, tips go person-to-person through the payment apps whose handles an artist shares (CashApp, Venmo, PayPal); the money never passes through ARND, we never see your card details, and your interaction with those providers is governed by their privacy policies. If ARND later processes payments directly, the fee model published on the fees page applies, and this policy will be updated first.

4. How information is shared

We share information only as needed to run the service:

Other users: your public profile, your listed shows, and the reviews you publish are visible to others, along with the verified badge your check-in earns.
Service providers: payment processors and hosting/infrastructure providers acting on our behalf, under contract.
Legal: where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of ARND and its users.

5. Your choices and rights

Access & export: "Download my data" in Privacy settings gives you a copy of your account and everything stored on your device. For the website-form data we hold (applications, signups, feedback), email allen@mooque.xyz and we will send or delete it.
Delete: "Delete my account" permanently removes your account and all associated data from your device. This is immediate and cannot be undone.
Location: grant or revoke at any time in your device settings.
Permissions: location permission is controlled in your device settings, and the app works without it. There are no hidden sharing or analytics toggles because there is no sharing or analytics to toggle.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as PIPEDA (Canada), the GDPR (EEA/UK), or the CCPA/CPRA (California), including the right to access, correct, or delete your information. Contact us to exercise them.

6. Data retention

On-device data persists until you delete it or uninstall the app. Account information held to operate the service is retained while your account is active and removed when you delete your account, except where we must keep limited records to comply with legal, tax, or fraud-prevention obligations.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

8. Children

ARND is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as ARND evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, surfaced in the app.
